(chinese version casts) HANA YORI DANGO (Boys Over Flowers) This series made me crazy not only by the story but also by gorgeous & cute characters. Whether it is in manga or tv, I am very addicted to it. It helped me to open my mind in exploring other kinds of tv dramas in the other countries, especially here in Asia. I'm not that fond of Western tv series, because it made me bore sometimes. The 1st time I heard about the 1st asianovela to be aired here in the Philippines sometime in 2004, I was curioused about those chinky-eyed characters. Then I started to watch Meteor Garden, which became popular in Asia. After that I watched the anime version. Then the Japanese and Korean versions too! The most popular among the casts is of course the F4 guys. It made me an avid fan of them, I mean the F12(comprisingly the chinese, japanese & the korean versions of F4). They are really cute and handsome! There is also the female lead, which is Tsukushi Makino(the original name of the female lead.) About the ost's, the 1st song that I've liked is from F4 of MG(They are really a one hit boy-band). It made me like Cpop, kp0p, jp0p and other asian songs. Even though I don't know the meaning, I can sing with it well....uh huh...WELL! The ANiMe I watched the anime version aired by abs-cbn here in the Philippines sometime in 2005, I guess (can't remember). I really liked the openning "Stepping out....nah nah nah",its title was "Futsuu no Nichiyoubi" It has 51 episodes.... Story:Makino Tsukushi, a working-class girl, attends an elite escalator school called Eitoku Academy (英徳学園 ,Eitoku Gakuen), populated by children from rich, high-society families. She is the "weed" of the school, surrounded by all the rich kids, including the "Flower Four" (F4). The F4 leader and son of the wealthiest, most powerful family in Japan, Domyouji Tsukasa, takes an interest in Tsukushi, because she is the only girl at Eitoku who doesn't fawn over him. However, his hot-headed nature and bullying ways are originally a major turn-off for Tsukushi, who has her sights set on someone else (Hanazawa Rui). The violinist Hanazawa Rui, Tsukasa's best friend, becomes Tsukushi's first serious romantic interest. He is a quiet and cold guy, but he has a soft spot for his close friend and Tsukushi's idol, the model Todou Shizuka, whom he harbored feelings for since childhood. His character is a bit complex, and always has changing feelings for Tsukushi, but above all cares about her in a friendly way. The other two members of the F4 are Mimasaka Akira, the laid-back peacemaker of the group, and Nishikado Sōjirō, an unrepentant playboy. They both usually have at least one girlfriend at any one time; Akira prefers older women because the women of his household (his mother and two younger sisters) are quite silly. Sojiro is happy to be in casual relationships with many women, although we later discover that at one time he was in love with a childhood friend. Over the course of the series, however, Tsukushi's feelings evolve, and she begins to appreciate the degree of change that occurred in Tsukasa once he fell in love with her. He becomes fiercely loyal to Tsukushi and believes in her beyond all doubt, and slowly gets her to see him in a different light. The physical obstacles and emotional challenges of their rocky high-school courtship form the basis of the story. He believes that there's an expiration of 1 week for girls. He's also the problem-solver of the group whenever there's a problem. TAIWANESE VERSION "METEOR GARDEN" (Liu Xing Hua Yuan) This is the 1st asianovela I've ever watched!. I really love the story of the 1st and its 2nd season. It is really popular in the Philippines in 2004. It aired for the first time in 2001(Season 1) & 2002(Season 2). The casts came here in the Philippines a several times and held a concert and also TV guestings. But this series made an extra buzz about Barbie Xu and Jerry Yan's misunderstanding. But then, they fixed it and they are both willing to work again. Barbie Xu and Vic Zhou became REAL COUPLE...But they'd broke up now...=(( Casts: Barbie Xu as Shan Cai =F4= Jerry Yan as Dao Ming Si Vic Zhou as Hua Ze Lei Ken Zhu as Xi Men Vanness Wu as Mei Zhou. REVIEW: SEASON 1 ~Shan Cai,whose parents are far from wealthy, attends Ying De University, the private school established exclusively for rich students. Besides being looked down by rich classmates, she has angered the leader of F4, Dao Ming Si. F4 comprises of Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Xi Men, and Mei Zuo, who are the heirs to the four richest families. Their families are the founder of the school and nobody dares to cross them. Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai becomes inseparable during the trip. Just before Shan Cai and Si leave for Spain, Hua Ze Lei gave Ah Si an envelope with a "smart advice" in it. When Ah Si opens the envelope, he finds that the advice from Hua Ze Lei was to ask Shan Cai to marry him in an old church with a legend. Dao Ming Si buys a "Meteor Ring" which Shan Cai had her eyes on, and prepares to propose to her in a church that had special meanings of "love". However, on the way to the church, Dao Ming Si gets into a car accident which had causes him to lose his memory. He met Ye Sha at that time, who helps him and looks after him. The sudden disappearance of Ah Si causes Shan Cai to worry, so she asks Jing to help her. The other three members of F4 also came to Spain immediately after they hear the news. What follows is a story full of ups and downs as Shan Cai tries to find Dao Ming Si and help him regain his memory. In this continued story of Meteor Garden, the love story of Xi Men and Mei Zuo are shown. It's 1st season(2005) has 9 EP's and the 2nd season(2007) has 11 EP's. Japanese version has the 2 movie versions. One aired for the 1st time in 1995 and for the 2nd time by the year 2008 entitled: HANA YORI DANGO FINAL, following the sequel of the 1st 2 seasons. There, they hold a giant super-rich and classy birthday party for Domyoji and announce something very important. Domyoji, like in the first season, is engaged to a rich girl and heir. The only difference is that they are to be wed soon. What will Makino do? On the side, Rui begins to fall in love with Makino... will this become a love... square? After that adventure they realized that the whole thing was only a challenge if they can stay forever. Finally, Tsukushi is pregnant...then, THE END.... +OST+

KOREAN VERSION "BOYS BEFORE FLOWERS" (kkotBoda Namja) This version of HYD make a BIG HiT in Korea. And it will air soon here in the Philippines. I'm sure that this drama version will also be popular like the two versions. For me, the story is mixed of both the taiwanese and the Japanese version. The casts aired a special episode before the episode 17. Why? Because of Koo Hye Sun's injury. The special EP is called "F4 Talk show" Casts: Gu Hye Seon as Geum Jan Di =F4= Lee MinHo as Gu Jun Pyo Kim Hyun Joong as Yoo Ji Hoo Kim Bum as So Yi Jung Kim Joon as Song Woo Bin Review: Geum jan Di came from an average family. They have a business a dry cleaning store. After saving a guy from taking a suicide, she's then named as a wonder girl. And then the school admit her as a regular high school student of Shinhwa High. There she met her filthy rich classmates and the F4. She soon fell in love with Ji Hoo. But with respect to ji Hoo's 1st love, Jan Di set free of her feelings and be friends with him. And after so many fights with Gu Jun Pyo, the leader of F4. Jun Pyo realize that he is already falling in love with Jan Di. But still there's the mother of Jun Pyo who tries to break JP and JD. Then there's Jae Kyung, JP's fiancee. While on the other hand Ji Hoo is falling in love with JD in the later part. (Ji Hoo has his 1st love, Seo Hyun, but later flies back to Paris).   +Ga Eul, Jan Di's friend likes Yi Jung.
